yeah but i'm just asking questions to learn more on the DE engine & see what you guys have to say about it, plus my brother(MR. 200SX) told me they can hold boost with good tune but he also agreed just like my friends that my problem is that where i currently live(Costa Rica) it would be risky since fuel is shity & also better to give it a try tuning it at a dyno 1st, but i built my car turbo with some recommendations from my friends & my car at 10 psi it has 276hp & 255ft-lbs, also since i got JWT ECU i just need to adjust things like the distributor & fuel psi on a dyno but since i have a 195 warlbro pump & 370cc i think i need to upgrade those 1st :-P before i can boost more, but the my friends know a good amount but they just don't trust the fuel here with 10psi+ on a DE since some have DET'S & a VE+T.....lol :-P

Listen, I've seen a bone stock DE take over 450whp with bolt ons....dont.worry.about.making.it.stronger. air to fuel ratios, Get your tune down. And turn up the boosttttttt and also watch you exthaust temps.

With proper tuning the stock DE can go to about 450-500whp before the stock head bolts wont hold any longer. The bottom end is not the weak point.

So if you dont plan on going to that amount of power then go for it. Just make sure the tuning is good. That is all. Plenty of 350-400whp stock de's have been done.

Yes, the pistons and rods are not the weak point on an sr. The headbolts and headgasket are.

it amazes me someone would go to the level of effort to tear a motor down just to but stock DET pistons in a de. not to mention, theyre absolutley no better than the de pistons.
