the freeakin engine harness connects to the ecu and some other plugs under the dash of the car, this is where u run into problems.

Are you sure about this?????
I know the 98 and 99 are different...but the 95-97 should be the same for a B14 se-r.
Can anyone confirm this 100 % because I would like to know for sure, since I am planning to do my first B14 swap soon..
Lynch...why do you think they would be different?

I feel the same way you do lol, can anyone please confirm?
Online part sites that sell harnesses have it listed 95-97 ? Why would they do that if it is different?

95-99 are basically the same. There were a few emissions extras added to the 98-99 years and the CA models but the harnesses are the same. I have my old tucked 95 harness ready to he put in the 97 that I just picked up.

I've swapped all between 95-98 and have 2 spare engine harnesses as well. They are identical. The only one I haven't used is a 99.

This is good info,but vague.
I have a 95,so I will just play it safe and go with a 95 sr20 harness, and see what happens.I dont want to have to repin if nit necessary.
