i'm not sure if there's a difference between the DET crank and the DE crank, but i just put a DET crank in my GTIR and aside from the oiling holes in the main bearings on the GTIR (as previously stated), the rod bearings are about 2mm wider. a wider bearing would be cool, however instead of adding 1mm to each side of the bearing, nissan added both mm onto the tang side, making the bearing unusable in the DET (and possibly DE) rod.

that being said, i have a factory nissan GTIR crank and rods with less than 2k miles on it and brand new ACL race bearings if you're interested, pm me. i'm located in socal.

yeah, a gtir rod on a de/det crank should be fine, you have to machine the tang grooves on normal 17mm bearing rods to accomidate the 19mm bearing. But from what hes saying is that it doesnt fit at all. Which I know is false.
