Thread: rebuild options for t28 turbo from Garrett

I have 2 t28 turbos that are needing rebuilt.
where could I send these to be rebuilt??
depending on the cost of rebuild is depending on if I get both rebuilt or just one.
only need one at the moment anyways.
any info on where to send these turbos would be great helpful information to me.

if you can rebuild them message me on here, or if you simply know who or where I could send them to let me know.

They can rebuild and balance your turbo. Their are also ball bearing rebuild kits available.

i second Gpop shop. awesome guys to work with. straight forward and did the work within a week of arrival at their shop.

G pop shop used their kit as well.

theres a how to on how to do it yourself by cliff its not hard at all (I had a bit of trouble but I have a franken turbo).

I've been told they don't make the parts to rebuild these turbos I have.
By 3 shops.
So now I need a replacement.

all t2 journal bearing t25/t28s use the same kit from gpop shop if its a ball bearing you have to replace the CHRA (which is now availible). At least thats my understanding. I'd call ATPturbo or Gpop shop they both know their stuff and are awesome.

i thought i could do that but i didnt know.
i have about 450 to play with so you know of any good turbos for around that price?

id be nervous to replace the parts by myself.
id rather just buy a replacement turbo but there are none used on here
dont want to get a ebay turbo lol.
