GTX28r turbos
Just curious if anyone out there has hit baller status enough to play with the new GTX T28 turbos. I am curious how they will perform as far as response and power output.

these turbos are designed for high pressure ratios where the normal T28 falls out of efficiency. They maintain efficiency past 4 bar pressure ratios. Pretty impressive.

The turbine doesn't look like it will flow enough for the claimed "400lb/min", but that's just an assumption on my part. I just saw some ads for it on ATP turbo and was wanting to chat about it, perhaps do some bench racing for fun.

So lets open the discussion and see how many tangents we can go on. It'll be an adventure!

DOUBT IT, cause it's the same price as a precision and eq manifold combined! i would love the GTX2867R!

I will be using the GTX3582R.

It wouldn't be worth the price getting the GTX turbo in a t28 trim i doubt anyone would waste money doing that.

Their to expensive, but I would deffintly love to have one. Doesn't percision have a t2 line out now also?

They are way too overpriced, I agree. I was just curious. The general consensus is that the 10 and 11 full blade turbos spool slower in the smaller wheels because of weight.

But does it justify the price if you wanted to push 30psi boost through a T28 without the heat issues that plague the lesser turbos?

Actually a guy weighed the wheels and they came out heavier. Also, the inducer is larger because of the larger trim wheels, and the blades are full-size.

I guess the blade count, length, and trim increase seems to offset the weight savings of the billet construction.

After I get my 6 speed swap done, you can await my thread on installing one. That is what i will be getting.

I believe it was just under 400whp at 19-20psi.
