I followed the directions exactly as they were on the paper that ARP sent with the studs. It was like torque in sequence to 30 something then do it again in sequence to 60 or 80 something. I don't remember the exact specs. I did, however, have to grind a tiny little spot in my upper oil pan to allow the stud to clear. I have a W10 Avenir.

ARP studs get torqued down 30 60 90 had no problem installing them on my Gti-r block. And no issues with Cometic in the past.... fingers crossed hope my new motor will hold up.

use the ARP's and you will be fine...I've used them in numerous engines with cosmetic gaskets to vet metal gasket...they scare people cause they don't have the little ball at the end so they don't bottom out and can strip the threads out of the block...if you install them correctly you won't have any issues

red locktite on the threads...send them in till they "bottom out" then back them off about 1/4 turn...let sit over night and torque them the next day...you shouldn't have any issues...be liberal with the locktite, don't be shy...and make sure the bolt holes are clean, blow them out with a compressor
