To the fuel pump relay you will have 12v constant to pin 30 of the relay which comes from that fusible link in the engine bay fuse box. on pin 85 or 86 cant remember which one, it should have 12v with the key in the on position. If you have that and the constant and no relay click then either the ecu is not grounding the fuel pump relay or you have a bad relay.

If all your voltages at the relay are good then there is really no reason it shouldnt work if all your other wires are good.

Ashton,

Where is said fusible link? Like I said car is at work so its hard do work on I get a quick few minutes here and there. What I do know is there is no power at the pump. So im pretty sure its not the pump..

  • Fusible Link ( wherever that is )
  • Relay ( is there any compatiable relays on the car ie AC etc? )

Pretty sure the wiring is fine, And really dont think its the ECU but anythings possible.

Its a square fuse that was normally in the engine bay by the battery attached to the wheel well just behind the driver headlight and battery. If you moved it down into the fender well then its probably there. It should be a 30 amp green square fuse (fusible link) Pull it out and check it.

As far as relays go, the other relays are the same, the fuel pump one is just rated at a different amp which is why its a different color. You could try swapping out relays first. Then see if its the fuse Or just start with the source and check the fuse. Again really just need to pull it out and check.

Also there is the fuse in the driver side interior fuse box, that is the ignition power supply to the relay. So check that as well.

Just figure out whats going on and you should be able to get it.

Yeah I moved one fuse box underneath and I have one fusebox still up top. Can I substitute the A/C relay with it? I still have that relay until I buy a new one if thats the only prob.

Fuse inside the car is good.

yeah, it should work fine for the time being, but i think the blue relays are less amp ratings so just make sure if it turns out to be a relay problem to replace it with the proper relay as soon as you can.

F*&^ YOU Nissan Relay :

Swapped with A/C relay and car fires right up, Wheres the best place to buy a replacement? GregV or is there a cheaper alternative such as RockAuto?

Its the original 20 year old relay, Im assuming it just died of old age.
