SR20VE with Gti-r big turbo set up
I actaully either haven't been looking or haven't seen a full how to write up on a SR20VE + t Build.

What I plan

Std SR20VE- Current
Std SR20VE Cams for now-Current- SR16VE later
SR20VE Rev limit to be kept the same max- 7606rpm- current
Full 3" exhaust system from turbo back.

Now someone is selling the following kit that has come off a GTI-R

------------------------------------------
BIG 600BHP CAPABLE TURBO KIT BY OWEN DEVELOPMENTS (LESS THAN 500 MILES USE) TOGETHER WITH EXT WASTEGATE (TURBOSMART), 3'' DOWNPIPE WITH FREEFLOW ELBOW, BRAIDED LINES, SCREAMER PIPE, DP SS BRANCH MANIFOLD,INDUCTION WITH ALL FITTINGS
------------------------------------------

I will be finding out what spec of the turbo is, but have a felling its a t3/t4 version.

I will only want to run this at 8psi-13psi, not really going over 1 bar.
This will be until I can do a full rebuild.

So my main questions are:
Can this kit go straight onto my SR20VE?

What else needs to be done

i.e tapping block- Link please
The kit comes with oil/ turbo lines.

Is there anything else needed.

I have the HKS Standalone pro gold management, so this will just be used again for the full remap.

Hopefully this set up on low boost should give me about 350hp?

The car as in N/A mode only has 1 fan, do most that go turbo switch to a 2 fan set up or still stick with the 1 fan set up?
How has the space, fitament been? Any Pictures links?

Thanks

I will possibly need to change to a slim line fan set up, due to the turbo kit fittament and looking at my current large single fan set up.
See below

Okay twin fan set up, so that's possibly one question answered. But I see the fans are inwards facing.

If you're using a -4AN turbo oil feed line then you will (and probably already did) need a restrictor. If you're running a ball bearing turbo the need for a restrictor is more important. See the link at the bottom.
Also the larger the turbo, the less likely you are to run into problems because they tend to have larger, higher flowing oil drains.

As for the size you'll need. Ask Vadim. He just went through the same thing.

Can't help you on the Precision 6262 thread size, sorry.

*Although not as important as the flow capacity of the oil drain. With a huge drain you can run whatever size line you want with no restrictor basically. The reason people need restrictors is to prevent the oil drain from being overwelmed and backing up, stopping the flow of oil through the turbo and causing the oil to break through the seals.

Or in the case of BB turbos it can be necessary to keep the pressure down.

Taking too long for the N1's to arrive, and this is going to be a better option for me in the long run.
May comission you Sam to come over and do the drilling, tapping the block work if you can.
Will pay for your travel and stay, a weekend job if i have the whole turbo kit, down pipe, exhaust, manifold hoses and lines etc.

Someone wants the JMR so may just let it go.
