I called mahle and asked if there was like a front side.to the pistons and they said not for the sr

if it clears as you spin the crank with everything in place and torqued you are fine...

well if those main arp bolts dont work for you lmk ill take them off ur hand lol. you should be good with those notches, they do look pretty well done

Notches looks fine,they were just not done in the right location. Next question is do those pistons have an offset pin?

I the same exact location the DET piston has it in. What probably happened is the tip of the squirter was touching the inside of the piston. When your grinder that area it removed any material that contacted the tip of the squirter.
Usually since the factory skirt is longer than the aftermarket ones it needs to be notched to clear the body of the squirter and not the tip of it. I don't know if it made explained it right.

hold the stock piston (with the notch facing you) and the mahle piston side by side. take a picture and observe the difference....

when you see it you will shit bricks lol
