arp main help.
So I just put Mt bottom end togather last night I did one piston @ a time and befor each piston I put the herttel on and torqed em down useing the old main dolt so after all the all pistons It spun like a dream..I removed my bolts and installed my ARP main's they torq to like 80 once I put theme on the liston scurt hiy the oil squirters/”piston coolers”....has any one hade this issue befor?

what pistons are they? did you put them in back wards by chance. The main studs should have been installed first with the crank and torqued to spec. even with the process you followed it should not have caused a issue. I would guess that the notch on the piston is not deep enough if its a aftermarket piston which does happen.

Mahle...did not install backwards...very nice pistons with eagle rods...so this is wat I had to do....

The clearance was tight with my cp pistons but they did not make contact with the oil squirters. Not the first time I have seen piston need to be notched to clear.

yeah its been done alot in the past..completely irrelevant to the main studs....just depends on the length of the skirt/body of the piston.....some aftermarket pistons decrease the lemgth of the skirt so there is no issue. you did the right thing...now if you could just spell check you first post all would be good

FYI you notched them in the wrong location.its not supposed to be notched on the side of the wrist pin.
