Intercooler Piping
Hey guys. I own a 1993 se-r which is currently undergoing an avenir swap. Im planning on going with a front mount intercooler. I will be using a front mount (which my friend donated me from his evo IX ). I was wondering if anyone would have an idea on what kind of bends I will need for the intercooler set up so I can start piecing it togeather.
Thanks in advance.

purchase a diy kit from ebay, it will come with a couple 90's straight pieces, 45's etc.

best way is mount your srt4 ic first then imagine how the pipes would be ran, then ull know what you need for your situation. iircc the srt4 input and output clock down on say a 45 ?

stratton.

You can get it done with five 45degree (total including the pipe out the compressor) bends pretty easily. If you keep the diameter of the pipe smaller (2in or so) from the compressor side you can snake the pipe around on the pass side of the rad to the IC out the IC out around the drivers side of the rad straight up to the TB.

NOTE: Bending or trimming of sheet metal (by the radiator sides) or readjustment of the rad may be required this way more so to an unknown extent if you still have that AC crappola up there (But at least you aren't running pipe under the crossmember or frame this way and it will keep the volume of pipe used down as well.
