random maf code but no light, 10 afr and runs like crud then clears
im having an annoying issue. on idle and criusing the afr will be fine, then read 10.0 loss of power completely and will pour smoke. I can smell raw fuel and i cant give it any gas at all or it will nearly shut off. I would think if it were the cap rotor plugs or wires it would just run like crap all the time and not randomly and the clear minutes later... I pulled a maf sensor code when it happened but it did not trigger the light ( light does work by the way). I thought the maf sensor was the issue at first because of the code and changing to the lightning maf with the new setup, thought maybe its bad. Swapped in the z32 maf and same issue. My old t25 setup i had no issues, the only thing i changed that would matter would be the maf sensors. I also unplugged the maf when this happened on idle and ran the exact same. So why would the car be running without the maf sensor?!?!

old setup t25, de maf, 370
new setup t04b 740s lightning maf, then changed to the z32
could i have an issue with the tune maybe? using a calum rtv1

I thought maybe i had an issue with the vafc maybe going bad so i bypassed it, no dice! Why would my car run rich and not change at all when the maf is unplugged? it shows a maf code but does not trigger the cel. Any ideas at all?

car will idle/run ok with the maf un-plugged to a point. no shit! try de maf again, re-tune for the de maf vq maps then try it again. did you screw with the fuel Volumetric Efficiently maps at all when you did the maf swaps?

I dont think its a tune issue, its really random and ive tried to duplicate it and nothing. I was heading home from a friends house at 2am doin about 45-50 afr went rich and no powa. Sitting in wendys drive thru it happened again and i barely made it to a parking spot. At advanced auto shut my car off and tried to start it again 15 mins later and rich again. It cleared up after sitting 20mins got it home and as soon as i pulled in the drive way and pulled the e brake happened again...

If the maf wasnt wired right it wouldnt run at all.
Not the Vafc as i bypassed it
lightning maf ran like ass too
The tune i got from here on the forum, pretty much ready to go for my setup
The old setup ran perfectly fine
Thought the ecu may have issues but this is really a worst case scenario...
