I"ve had a knockoff type s and now I have a real greddy type s. I've had this problem with the knock off, I knew to do this before I put the real one on. The solution to your problem has been said multiple times. Take the small spring out, problem solved.

This is my weekend project. I'm to busy to do it during the week and this is my daily driver but I'm gonna get a vac pump Saturday and get it sorted out including removing the small spring if need be and report back. I still am probably looking to replace it even if I fix it cuz I'd rather not run knock off, but it'll give me some time to save up

Sounds like a plan. Let us know how it goes.

I assume what I do is loosen the nut to turn the thread that nut is connected to then when I get it to where I can it, I tighten the screw back down to hold it there correct? Because the thread looks like its pretty far out already its about triple the length of the one in QUiKSR20s picture above

Took me a while to get the BOV right but now its perfect, If you require a closer pic let me know. You loosen the nut, adjust with allen key and then tighten.

Quick update, took a few minutes to spray some starter fluid around the intake manifold, intercooler and such to look for a vacuum leak. Thought I found one until i realized in one spot i was real close to the air filter and the vapors musta been getting sucked in. Cause when I plugged in one of those straw nozzles to get a more direct shot to the same area, i didnt hear anything. She's still idling at about -15. I may have to try some other more involved method to find if there is any leaks or have it looked at just in case, but as far as i can tell, no leaks.

is the bov open at idle? if its staying closed, or not moving at all when revving, there's a chance the diaphragm might be torn inside the valve.

I dont think i've gotten that thing to open yet hahaha, gonna find out sat when I pull it off i guess. Everyone seems to suggest removing the small spring. I'm only running 10 psi so i figure it'll be ok. Its an old notch off, so it needs a replacement. Might hit up the pick and pull see if i can find one of a G1 talon or something to test

I also have the Greddy RS knock off and had to remove a spring due to compressor surge, I don't remember which spring, though. Probably the smaller one. Literally takes 5 mins and was fixed immediately. My friend David had the same issue on his turbo D-series Civic and removed a spring out of his knock off Greddy RS and it fixed his compressor surge, also.

I'm sure you have already checked you vacuum source, but just for reference, it needs to be after the throttle body in order to get vacuum and open the BOV.

With my Avenir t25 and Greddy knock off w/ the spring removed, I could rev the car to about 3k rpm rather quickly, snap the the throttle closed with my other hand in front of the BOV, and I could definitely feel and hear the air coming out.

middle of page 2 (page 4 via Tapatalk app) of this thread I posted a picture and circled where my source is, which is on back side of the intake manifold after the throttle body so I think I'm good there. I did I quick check for vac leaks the other day with start fluid and turned up nothing but I'm gonna do a more in depth test after I make a pvc plug for my air compressor just in case. Gonna do the single spring mod tomorrow and report back, thanks

**EDIT**

In the middle of page 2 is the picture of my source, it was page 4 through Tapatalk App
