Ok heres the picture of where the vacuum source is, in the manifold. I would assume thats a good place? After noticing no clamp or anything holding it on, I threw a zip tie on it to make sure it wasn't leaking or anything, but then I figure even if it was, that would prob actually help me not have compressor surge as opposed to help causing it because then the air would be exiting there lol

Guess the next step would be to test the hose/bov with a vac pump and see if all it needs a loosened. I tried doing it during my break at work(loosening it) but I could only turn the thread and nut on the thread together, I could turn the nut back down the thread to the bottom after loosening the thread cause I could only get in there with one hand. But the bit of loosening I did, I didnt hear any change (during idle) and i dont feel air coming out of it (during idle).

I've noticed to during idle, since i've been messing around with it a little, sometimes the car bogs down in idle to almost the point of dying buy I give it gas to keep it from cutting off. after awhile it kinda levels it self out and idles normal. Kinda like what it does on a cold start, cept it was already warmed up but i haven't looked to much into this issue cause it only happens here and there and since messing around with this bov situation

Yeah but i didnt wana go off assumptions and guesses. A lot of your rebuttals ended with "i dunno man, i guess" or an equivalent lol. You said you were newer to boost as well so I was hunting 2nd opinions

Looking at the boost gauge in the beginning of the vid, you should be running about 18-20in of vacuum, most likely why the idle is rough, so there's definitely a vacuum leak somewhere. Because of that your bov isn't opening off the throttle.(That or there's no vacuum to the bov at all) Find that vacuum leak, get it up to that 18-20in range, make sure the bov is connected to a good vacuum source and loosen it up a bit. But yeah that vacuum is weak.

Step 1 get rid of all chinese knockoff parts... I know alot dont like Greddy BOV's but my old Type S ( way before the knockoffs ) works perfect in blow thru venting to atmosphere just gotta fix my dang IACV..

It does actually make its way to -20 here and there, but I'll see what I can do to check it for a leak. The original owner told me this was a knock of type rs and he's had it for a long time so I think in the grand sheme of things im gonna just replace it. I've been looking toward the Synapse Bov and the greddy adapter. But i dont have the money just yet.

As you can see in the picture above the BOV is connected to the manifold for the vacuum source which I thought to be a good source? My next step is to try and loosen it a little more and see what I come up with, though I think it is on its way out thats why i wana replace it. I assume what I do is loosen the nut to turn the thread that nut is connected to then when I get it to where I can it, I tighten the screw back down to hold it there correct? Because the thread looks like its pretty far out already its about triple the length of the one in QUiKSR20s picture above

I have a greddy rs. ^this
