Thread: intercooler?

so I am gonna boost my ser, and I was wondering if I need to get an aftermarket bumper for it after I install the turbo kit. because most cars end up driving around without a bumper and you can see their intercooler bright as day.

No. With a front mount intercooler you may have to trim the inside of the bumper a bit to fit it, but not remove it completely.

I have a kit for sale with a black intercooler, that if you position correctly you won't need to cut much if anything

EVO Intercoolers fit great, Will just have to trim the metal bumper and the plastic bumper a little bit.



Trimmed the inside of the 94 bumper to clear the intercooler ( metal support was already cut to fit )



Time to test fit the bumper

Bumper? Lol!!! I thought my fmic was a bumper upgrade :-D NO bumper here, lol!!! It was in the way of my fmic just the same as my air bag sensor was in the way of my knight rider light bar!

Wasn't any time to trim for me. Bumper got the boot!

Lol dont smash into anything or that front end is getting destroyed & pushed right into the motor.
No need to remove the whole bumper if the right intercooler is used.

I got a 27x12x3 off ebay and my bumper fits. Really really tight fit though but I have a bumper and core support. Took quite a bit of cutting
