Which tach adapter?
I am going to get a MSD 6al-2 for the 2-step and ignition cut rev limiter, but am confused on which tach adapter is correct. It's for a B14, so I need the CEL to stay off for inspection purposes. Is the older tach adapter, P/N 8910 correct, or the newer P/N 8910 EIS correct? MSD's website states the older 8910 is for ballast style ignition systems w/ an optical distributor. The 8910 EIS is for Electrical Ignition systems w/out the ballast resistor. I thought the B14 doesn't have a ballast resistor system, but I thought it is an optical distributor. Anyone having luck with one or the other, or know which one would work correctly/better?

Thanks for the info.

I have the 6al-2 all hooked up and it seems to be working well. I do notice that when I reach either the low or high rev limiter my afr's go lean off the chart on my AEM, it shows ---. When I let off it will backfire which I assume is from the excess fuel from the ignition cut. Does anyone else's show lean while on the rev limiter? I figured it would show super rich.
