Thread: anyone running decent to high boost on STOCK ve bottom?

we have a 6262 at 15 psi now and it runs real hard its tuned very conservatively on aem .

I've been driving around pushing 20psi through a gt2871r with a good tune and the car sees limiter daily. Stock ve with sr16 cams and s/r.

Bone stock, no girdle no de crank no nothin....?

so I have been told but I just wanted to play it safe and get you alls oppinion. I hear they also like a bearing failure but I'm not revving past 7.5

whats your whp at 20 lbs? Im going with the same setup but 20ve cams and 9.0:1 cr. I didn't get to see you run at the convention, how fast you end up going? Apologize for thread jacking.

that car has a 100% stock ve bottom end

It made 350whp, with a 2.3 60' short shifting second I went 12.9@118mph, It definitely has alot better times in it but I was a bit too far from home to give it hell lol.


This is correct, never pulled the motor apart.

It comes on pretty quick, I mean its t2 and the 2871r doesnt have much more lag than the gtir t28 that I had in there before. The car is full boost probably around 4k the latest.
