china chargers
Well like I posted on here before I blew my t25 that came with my w10. To rebuild it I got quoted on 450 because I need a new chra etc etc.

Now since I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on rebuilding a small t25 I went to Godspeed and bought their gt2871r journal bearing Turbo.

I know I will get flamed for this lol' but for 280 it is not a bad price for a temp Turbo.

I want to push minimal boost on it since I'm just on 370cc inj for now til next week I hope.

I have a question, des anyone have any experience with these Godspeed turbos. I know as of right now I reclocked it and everything lines up perfectly with the j pipe and the stock lines look like they fit so I will be using those. Only issue I have is the way the holes for the waste gate bracket don't align, I will have to make my own.

I'll post more of my experience with this chinacharger as I go, at least it comes with a one year warranty.

hey guys sorry havent been on the forums in awhile since i dont own an sr20 anymore. pretty much to catch you up to speed i got the turbo installed it ran great for about a week an then the motor threw another rod bearing so i sold the whole car. I'm not sure what cause the motor to crap out some ppl told me it was cause the ebay turbo some said my tune from jwt may have not been correct i was even told my injectors couldnt compensate for the gt30 and it lean out an blew so not to sure which one is correct but i can tell u after the motor blew i check the turbo and it was still in one piece no shaft play no smoking looked like it was solid but with my whole experience i wouldnt not do it again i would just save and get a new name brand turbo or hell buy a used 1 in good condition. got a honda accord that i was gonna boost but i want back into the sr20 game so im currently looking at a turbo sel forsale we'll see what happens

Sorry to hear about the car. It could have been that your car leaned out. What injectors were you running? Hope you get back in a Sr soon.

My set up is a stock w10 stock usdm maf 370cc inj and gt2871r from Godspeed journal bearing on the stock manifold. I have a jwt tuned for what I have low comp us maf and 370s.

My t25 blew cause something caused it to run at 17 psi. The motor held strong no lie I had fun with that blown turbo. Before it went it was at 9psi pulled ok.

Now this Jew gt28 pulls ok I only have it at 7 pounds right now for break in purposes but plan on setting it to 10-11 psi later on this month. Keeping the 370s etc.

It reaches full boost at about 4500 rpm wich is ok but i wish it hit sooner like the t25. I hope this thig last lol.

I doubt the chinese turbo caused you to spin a rod bearing.

i had a jdm sr20de with a modded avenir manifold tial wastegate gsp gt3076 turbo halman boost controller, custom 2.5 ic piping 3 in dp to full 3in exhaust n62 maf 370 injectors with tomei fpr set to 3 bar, 255 fuel pump and a jwt ecu tuned to my set up. i never got a chance to dyno tune so it could be very well possible that the car leaned out but i always thought jwt were plug and play. idk i kinda always had bad luck with this car i went threw 3 motors in this car only the first 1 made it to 4 month mark the other 2 blew in a 1 week period.
