I have a vet. even with det pistons you are at 9:3.1 and around 9:8.1 with stock de pistons. Non of these will have valve reliefs or will be forged. Cp does not make a 9:5.1 off the shelf ve piston.


U have a vet or a ve head on det bottom?


I have a built ve-t. ve block,head and de crank.

20+ with the fuel and tuning we have available now there is no need to be scared of high comp boosted motors.

I refuse to go any less than 9.5:1. The driveability is much improved the higher the compression you have and it also helps with spoolup time.

So with a 10.0:1 comp on a de with a gtir head on 10 lbs i should make good streetable power?

sure and 10lbs is for the birds you will be upping the boost in no time

^^^^absolutely, on a ve head it will be 10x better. i ditched the de head for that reason. proven to make over 50+whp on a ve head swap

people just dump the de head likes its poop. I guess i just love the s4 lope too much to get rid of it
