favorite compression
What are your preferences as far as compression ratios on a turbo build. i am looking to use ten lbs of boost. i have a set of 9.5:1 and a set of 8.3:1 pistons both notched for squirters. i am trying to decide which set to use. i feel that with a low comp like 8.3:1 that the car will be a slug out of boost and since this will be a street car i am worried about that. thank you

I prefer high compression boost cars... We have no reason to fear compression and boost these days with all these great tuning options these days.

I am at 9:0.1 right now and would have liked to be 9:5.1. would need custom pistons for that.

if you have stock gtir pistons they are actually 8:5.1 they are only 8:3.1 with a gtir head.

I have a vet. even with det pistons you are at 9:3.1 and around 9:8.1 with stock de pistons. Non of these will have valve reliefs or will be forged. Cp does not make a 9:5.1 off the shelf ve piston.
