So I ordered a cheap MBC, the voodoo 3. It looks a great deal like my home made one regardless of the pictures shown on the sales site. I turned it a few turns from the shipped zero psi setting, I installed it, and went for some 4th gear highway pulls. She spiked but to my surprise held 12psi after bleeding off a tad. So I pulled over and cranked the dial some more...BANG! Spot on spiked 16psi and bled off holding 14psi, right where I want it.

Id hate to think that turboXS MBC my tuner had thrown in was no good but that's really the only conclusion I can draw. We already knew my home made one was junk and I installed the voodoo the same as the other one. Whatever, I'll take it!!!

Now....what's she really making for power is what I wanna know!!!!

Just a brief update...within days of dyno tuning I took a chance with a cheap $20 mbc from amazon called the voodoo 3. It solved my issue! I also disassembled my BOV to learn a $0.53 o-ring was the BOV boost leak culprit :-)

This saturday a different local dyno shop is having a "dyno for autism" fundraising event. I'm going to do my best to attend to not only learn my true whp but support a great cause!
