Clutch for b13 with 300 hp
My 1992 sentra ser has an avenir with a t28 and cams. I have supporting modifications to reach the 300 hp level once it's tuned. I'm interested in others experiences with clutches and similar power levels. I will be running on the stock transmission until it fails and then I will upgrade. I would like a clutch that is driveable and not a leg breaker.

Theres tons of clutch choices. But for 300whp id go for something leg breaking or youll be pissed at the track.

I may start locking threads about clutch choices if people don't start posting estimated torque figures. Don't be a douche. Tell us what torque output you're expecting. Otherwise we have absolutely no fucking clue as to what type of clutch you need.

all torque outputs will be different...nobody really knows what to expect, its easier to say "i am looking to make 300, 350, 400 hp" instead of " i want 275ft lb tq" or 300ft lbs etc...get real fenderbender, sheesh talk about a power trip

why are you reinforcing his negativity??

with that being said...get an fx500 from clutchmaster, it comes in a rigid or sprung hub...will be more the enough to hold what you are looking for

I rocked an fx400 from Clutchmasters with 300whp. Held up great, and I would recommend that clutch to anyone.

I have to agree with Ben. You need to have a idea of the torque your going to make because that will tell you what clutch setup to use. This is why clutches are rated in lbft and not hp.

Torque is what requires you to have to upgrade your clutch, not necessarily horsepower. If you have 300wtq and 150ft-lbs of torque (NA VE), then you can get away with an oem like clutch and it should still hold.

But if this particular person runs an inefficient turbo and gets 300whp peak and 400wtq, then his "300whp" clutch will slip, and he will come back to blame you for telling him to buy the wrong clutch.

Kevlar discs are very grabby and don't require as much plate pressure as other materials.

My stockish pressure plate holds ~270 ft lbs with a South Bend kevlar disc.

Should hold over 300 with a level 2 pressure plate.
