interest for custom axles (6spd swap)
For those that would like to have hybrid axles but cant find the magic axles.
If there is an interest, Im about 3 hours from the driveshaftshop. So when I gather the 2.5L axles, I can go visit their shop so they can take measurements, etc.To come up with a price.

Its likely that they can just make outers to put on the 2.5l inners to keep the cost down, if a complete axle is too much.

If no one cares, we can forget I brought it up.

sounds good to me... i am assuming the idea here is that we could then keep the b13-14 knuckles and hubs?

Yes thats the idea. Ive already personally talked to driveshaftshop about custom axles but more for 5.9 series axles. They said $1900 for a set of 5.9 series axles. It would use the stock spec V inner joints and then their custom billet chromoly shafts and custom larger outer joints. What they would do is take the stock b13/b14 hubs and redrill and respline them for the larger 5.9 series outer joints. Thus allowing you to keep your b13/b14 knuckles.

As for just having some custom swappable outer joints to stick onto the stock spec axles that might be easy for them to do and cheaper than the upgraded axle set.

its a matter of finding the right combination of parts if you want to keep your hubs. Coheed had problems finding a matching set but I think the axles that im using are from an 02 Sentra SE-R non spec V with the 5 speed. The driver side axle is easy as it doesnt matter what years you get you can swap the inner joint of the spec axle right onto an oem b13/b14 axle just by swapping the 3 roller joint.

The passenger axle was the difficult one to piece together. Coheed kept trying different year spec V axles to see if he could find the smaller splined one that I have. But never tried the 5 speed 02+ se-r axles. Either way, I got a passenger side axle with the smaller spline and swapped my oem green painted b13 passenger axle outer joint right on. Took some motivation to get it on but it fit and havent had a single problem with them.

From what I read in his how to, the magic ones are the red ones... ive been emailing everyone with a private ad listed that i can find within a few states looking for something, but im not finding much, and havent had but 1 response.

Ashton. Can you check the spec's for the altima axles to see if they would work with the b13/14 outers?

I would be down for some axels, but could spend the money on 5.9s. Would prefer the cheaper route
