Soo... i got my car retuned
so about 3 week go my aem ems's tune desides to go south, and i THOUGHT it was my air intake temp sensor and map sensor that went bad, well after i took it to the shop beucae it was completely out of my control at that point, i come to find out the tune is comepletely out of wack and my air intake temp sensor wiring wasnt good, and my aem wideband snsor was bad, th timing was out of wack and out of sync with the AEM

today the air intake temp sensor wiring was corrected and after 5 hours of dyno tuning and reconfiguring on the AEM EMS the car is not only running BETTER but the car is now making incredable WHP .

the wastegate is running a large yellow spring 10lbs, well the way the wastegate vacuum lin was setup it was only allowing them to see 8lbs of boost, well AT 8lbs the car made 270whp (300bhp) they reconfigured the wastegate vacuum line to the intake manifold and were able to get the 2lbs extra now making a solid 10lbs and that 2lbs of boost along with cleaning up the tune some from the extra 2lbs, the 2psi gained another 30whp so now the car is making a solid 10PSI and making 300WHP, the car was tuned on a dyno dynamics dyno (very state of the art) my opinion it is far superior over the mustang and the dynojet, i feel the numbers i gained at such LOW psi DEFINITLY show that its tuning ability are superior.

just wanted to share i am so happy my car is back to running right and now with almost 100whp extra at the same boost level, most definitly happy.

i have talked with the tuner about my turbo setup and he said that ith my setup and another 7psi running a total of 17psi he said there isnt any reason i should be able to se another 80-90whp, i definitly feel that 17psi is where i am going next, not to mention i feel a race tune map is also going to be in the works, 450whp here i come!

thanks man i truly feel that now the build is truly showing its potential, not its full potential yet, but if ts any indication of the kinda power this sr20 is capable of its definitly showing with high WHP numbers at low boost thats for sure

so map wiring and bad sensor, two things we talked about if I remember right. The timing, we never talked about but makes sense. Glad it is all done.

thanks brent, your help was much apreciated, i wish i could have figured it out, but the car was way out of my control..they said the whole tun was out of wack, fuel maps, timing maps, all out of wack, thank god i didnt drive like that

fixed lol my laptop is piece lol

so basicly, the air intake temp sensors wirin wasnt even hooked up, ignition timing wasnt in sync, ecutiming tables werent correct, ignition maping wasnt right, fuel maps were wrong, my aem wideband sensor went bad (1 hour of dyno time for nothing altho they didnt know my sensor went bad rom rich conditions)

it was a VERY expendsive fix, but it HAD to be done

im running the GT2871r .86AR housing, the turbo doesnt even become efficent untill 14psi, or 1 bar and the tuner said around those areas of boost i can plan on picking up at least another 80-100whp with this setup, i feel that is VERY efficent, if i can see almost 400whp under 20lbs i woul be more than happy and i think its more than capable
