Thread: Altima axles

Been doing some research and couldn't find a definite answer on something. Has anyone tried using altima axles with B13 outter joints ?
I've never had the altima axles in my position so I have no idea what they look like or what to expect.

What research have you found?

The axles are gonna be used with. RS5F50V box. But it's going into a B13 sunny. I don't want to change spindle or hub so I'm looking at other options as is.

I'm pretty sure the spline counts are different between the two. So you would have to swap the hubs or do something to make them fit.

You could just put the outter CV's from the B13 on to them as you mentioned on your first post.

Im running a 50 series awd gearbox in my P10 from a GTiR. I used the 50 series shafts with the P10 outer CV's. I would assume it would be the same in your case.

@dre, that will not fit. they are right they have a different count in spline... Its either you change your hub or re-spline the axle which is for me not recommended.

I just want to know, whats the purpose of P11 axle if you can find a B13 axle?

Also, the diameter of the outer part of the shaft that goes into the hub is larger in the Altima than a b13.

Anyone kno what the spline count on the altima axles suppose to be ?

I was messing around in the junkyard today and found an Altima with a 50A gearbox and a Maxima with the 50A gearbox. The hubs are different though, in that the Maxima hub is larger than the Altima hub (in spline diameter). I'm guessing that the outer CV is different between the cars. You can't use either on the B13 however, but it might be swappable (outer CV that is) onto the B13 shaft. I did not take apart axles to measure the ends where the CV goes.

I have seen SR16's come with the 50V gearbox, you may be able to contact some owners overseas and see if they can chime in on what axles they use.

They have 27 spline inner and outer joints. The SER axles are 25 spline inner and outer joints.

the axle shafts are also the same spline counts on axles, with exception to the Spec V passenger axle, which has like 49 splines.
