blown turbo?
Yesterday I took my car to a shop, so I could get a pipe welded
On my intake to recirc the stock det recirc valve. Before this my car was
Boosting 9 pounds. Stock w10 with stock t25 jwt 370 cc program.
When I left it was boosting 15 pnds. I got a little trigger happy for a few miles no lie.
But when I got home my car smokes white at idle. Could it be blown hg. Valve seals or blown turbo. Right now I'm hoping for turbo. I might check later for shaft play. When it goes on boost my oil pressure gauge bounces up and down wich makes me think it might be the turbo. I guess ill see later today. Would 15 psi fry my piston rings?

Head gasket issue is my guess. It could explain everything.

i checked the turbo, im no expert but it seems blown. I would move the turbine side to side, and there was enough play to make the metal hit the housing and make little clanking sounds, now im not driving it until i can replace that t25. -_- is 15 psi too much for a w11? i know its asking too much from a t25, even if it did happen on accident. lol

your bearings are worn, just rebuilt one that was doing the same thing.

There's a really cool "How To" on this forum that someone wrote to rebuild T25's and T28's.

The only problem you potentially have is that your fins could be damaged, which will require rebalancing or replacement of the compressor wheel at a minimum. If the exhaust wheel is damaged, you may as well look for another center section.

Im confused you said at first t25 w10 then mentioned w11 t25 witch is a ball bearing or "gt25" turbo so if thats the case then no rebuild kit exist for them .

yeah im sorry it was a type-o i have a w10 with a journal bearing t25. I needed to get to work today so i turned on the car, and i heard a ticking sound coming from the engine bay i almost shit my pants thinking it could be the engine breaking down but it was the turbo ticking so i turned it off and you just hear the ticking going away as i guess the turbo stops spinning. Yeah i am either going to send it off to be rebuilt cause i saw that how to and it just makes no sense to me, even for all the detail in that how to, im not mechanically inclined. Or i might just buy my buddies t25 he just had rebuilt. Hopefully i have it done sometime next week -_-

on another note 15psi really made something in my pants move like never before ha ha!
