Thread: diesel turbo on sr20?

Will a turbo from a dieael motor work on a sr20? The thrust has been changed to 360

Holset?

i would be worried about the lag
do u have any specs at all ?

i know they run bigger clearances in the bearings for the diesels

Do this! My dad is a truck driver for almost 20 years from romania and when i tell him about our cars making 800hp he is dumb founded and doesnt believe me and always says "I'd like to see my turbo on one of those cars" Do This! hahaha

What's it clanged for? BW I never seen but the holder hx35/40 yes and they work with great results

that borg warner is a good turbo, ive seen good results out of them, i also had great results out of my hx40, i have tried to walk away from garrett based turbos because they always end up with oil seal issues, atleast for me, even when using the correct restrictor

turbo diesels will work. I have a Holset H1C (small) on my motor. Holds boost great when it runs properly. Right now I'm dealing with sputtering issues.

Nonetheless, they have been used before. Other motors are able to push high boost on them. However, the problem is the lag. H1C/HX35 do have a exhaust upgrade to reduce spool time. Some of them are externally gated and have V-band flanges. It'll definitely be a custom exhaust system is diesel is used.

oh ok thanks, so should i keep it or sell it? i have a t25 with bluebird manifold also so ill trade both of my turbos for a nice setup if anyone is interested...if not i might just throw in my t25 for now
