Thread: safe psi?

How much boost can i safely run on a usdm de with a t3t04e? I was running 10lbs, but I've read they just start waking up at 10 psi. I have a z32 maf, 740cc injectors, and a walbro 255, so i should be good in those depts.

As safe as your AFR/Tune will let you go Bump it up in increments so you can see how it runs, safely.

If people are running 15psi on T25's/T28's on USDM DE's, I don't see how you'd be dangerous around the same PSI level.

Safety is going to be dictated by your ability to supply fuel and control ignition timing properly. If you've got engine management and can tune it properly, I don't see a problem with running 18 psi safely. You've got a large IC I hope?

If you've got some half-assed fuel control method and no ability to control ignition timing you're probably pushing the limit at 10 psi right now.

i would say you should be fine, just bump it up 1psi at a time and if there is any uncertainty such as missfire, pinging/detonation then back off as soon as you hear it dont run it all the way through or it will be too late, ask me how i know. haha. You should be safe up to 18psi easily and for assurance run some race gas in there.

anything past 17-18 pounds id start looking into a msd (from what im told) but like everone else says just make sure you got the fuel in the right places

I have run 20psi+ with factory ignition in good working order. Ignition is the least of your worries. Make sure you have the fuel to boost her higher.

Nothing past 8psi is safe if you have a B13 tranny. Watch out for third gear!
But you have a 98, so who knows....
