I have been toying with the idea of selling the sentra, or parting it out. I would rather she find a good home. A place she could be taken care of, appreciated.

I could make a ton of money back by parting it out. The 6-speed swap, wheels, tires, brakes, suspension parts, new turbo etc.

I have to make this car perfect before I sell it, or as nice as possible. I have other projects that I have to take on, and it makes me sad to think of selling. But sooner or later, the time comes to move on.

What do you guys think? Sell for 5k? 7k? What would be a good asking price?

Bottom line: Part it out. I did a partial part out and made ALMOST what I REALLY wanted for my SE-R. Yours is of a higher caliber and should easily fetch more, but that's not likely to happen with the car intact.

When you part out, your easily able to make more as some parts aren't specific to your car. Turbo, trans, etc.

^ What he said Part it out bottom line . Or return to stock and sell it. You'll be beating your head against a wall dealing with the cheap'os on here for any price over $5k . It sucks but it its what it is . I had mine posted for $6k with only 105k miles second owner no rust and a spare built ve-t with all forged internals .Let alone the $15k I put into it . I got fed up woth all the BS pm's bitching that it dont have heat or a/c .
It sucks your car was soo nice too !

Screw it Im parting mine after the summers over.

Maybe it's just me but when I started building my car I knew that I would never get back what I put into it. If that's something you're looking to do, then you have the wrong hobby. Or at least the wrong kind of car, period.

Gotta do it for the love of it and keep pushing the envelope.

if your having the feeling like you dont want it, go for it man, i know we talked a little last night, i never thought i would part with my NX and im sure you didnt either, sure i miss the power but i dont miss the car or think why did i do that, i hated driving it in the summer cause it didnt have ac and i hatet driving it in the winter, i wouldnt go without ac or ps again, plus these newer cars are emmisions every other year and inspection everyother year too

or you could let it sit and go to waste like jason's ser

I will fix her up. Make her better... again. And see what I can come up with to reignite the romance lol. We really are like an old couple, we hardly ever fool around anymore heh heh.

I am sad the car is broken, and more upset that money that could be used to making it even better is now used to just getting the car running. And the registration expires this month. GRRRR. I had an appointment this tuesday to get her registered.

No other car I've owned has been as awesome as this sentra. Its a great car. Fast as hell. And I just want to drive, and enjoy it. Doing fix-up jobs like this just sucks.

But I will be buying a new car. Don't know how soon. I gotta get these student loans paid for. i still owe 10k, and it is getting harder and harder to pay it off. I keep finding other things I gotta fix with the house. Where am I going to find the time to tear this thing down again. I've never pulled the head with the motor in the car either. How feasible is that?

Pulling the head with the motor in the car is totally doable/feasible so you have that going for you
