Thread: Why are people running these HUGE ass turbos on these cars?

I'd get bigger injectors from the start so you at least don't have to upgrade those in the future.

Serious trap speeds & insane highway pulls, wont come from a t2 powered SR. Ive got a DET @ 14 psi, and a 100 shot on top of that. It compares to mayyybe a 2871r.

When I had my T28 I ran 11.6 at 25lbs and it was at it's limit. I'm now on a PTE6262 and ran 11.3 at 19psi not even breaking a sweat. No more baby turbos for me.

It also depends on where you live. In my state you can't do serious highway pulls. If you hit 100 mph your going to jail no questions asked. Thus the only fun you have is getting up to the super high 35mph speed limit .

Wangwang lives a state south of me, not sure how strict they are there, but could be very similar.

i hate bottom mount turbo setups pain in my ass to work on with my big hands trying to fit down there. easier for me to work on and def love highway monsters.

I loved my sc61. I ran plenty of small frame turbos but once you step up to a T3 you cannot compare it. Also not many guys on here run over 20psi. Not sure what the issue is. Maybe no bawwlllssss.

You dont kow how this pisses me off when they do this. Fully built motor, stand alone etc etc and only running 15psi WTF man
