Thread: Why are people running these HUGE ass turbos on these cars?

I went 125 MPH in a 55 MPH zone in my 200SX in PA and I did not go to jail. The cops were seriously pissed, guns drawn, shouting and cursing commands. They physically removed the passenger from the car to isolate us for questioning.

I was 19. 5 points added to the license, and a $450 fine. 6 points is when you lose your license.

The best damn turbo is the GT2871R.

I have seen a few full weight SR20DE cars maje 420-445 WHP with the GT2871R.

I have seen the GT2871R with s4 cams run 11.3-11.8 between 20-24 PSI @ 120-125 mph

The Red B13 by Lance ran 12.0 @ 115 MPH on a DET with stock cams 15 PSI.

Martys White B13 ran 11.8 @ 122 MPH on a DET with S4 cams 17 PSI

My Friend Mike with a B14 ran 11.5 @ 124 MPH on a DET with S4 cams 20 PSI



If I were to turbo a B13 or B14, I would go for 400-450 WHP with parts below.

On A RWD car I would go with a bigger turbo like the GTBB37 - GT3076.

Who says a t2 frame turbo sucks on the top end ? I had no problems topping out the 150mph speedo with s3 cams . I Could post a video if it but the would = BAN !

Ive have a few members drive my old set up and said it pulls just as hard a larger frame turbo cars they've driven and the power was very responsive compared to largerlaggy setups . Plain and simple Red light to red light racing or autox go t2 frame , drag strip go t3/t4

On a RWD car why waste time and money going with one of those turbos when you can get something capable of more power for less.

I tried both types of turbo's and prefer the bigger one. I can turn the power down if I want to. My car is not laggy at all, it feels just as good as my T28 did.

lol, topping out at 150? Hell when you spin 205's past 150 in 5th gear you let me know if you still have clean pair of shorts afterwards. There is nothing like the feeling of blowing off the tires in 4th gear on low boost and then 5th gear on high boost still pulling like a freight train as you see the speedo just sitting on the reset peg while leaving two thick black strips behind you.

You are a mad man Ashton but you speak the truth, it is a good feeling. Not very safe but good.

T3 ftw

at the end of the day its personal prefrence to what you like. I like both t2 and t3 all about going fast for the cheap for me
