Thread: xs power fwd manifold fitment woes

Already running the elecric w/p amd no p/s . Is the alt relocate a pian to do ? It dont look easy to get to once in there

It's just getting everything lined up and the bracket cut right. What I did was use my spare block to get everything lined up right. I also bought a new ka alternator, just so I wouldn't have to worry about getting in there again for years.

Then, it's just a matter of extending the alternator wires and you're done.

Plus, you must pay close attention to the pic posted by Andreas, as the top bolt will hit the alternator. The top of the ps bracket must be cut down to bolt it on.

So the KA alternator bolts up to the stock brackets and such when mounted in the oem location (up front) does it push more amps than the B13 one? What year make and model car do you get it from and where did you buy yours brand new?

I bought a 98 240sx alt. It's 90amp (I have a b15, so I'm not sure what b13s are rated at). It was purchased from a local parts supplier. I believe some mid-late 90's 240sx alternators are rated at 80amp too.

Umm...if you mounted it in the stock location on a fwd car, the pulley would be facing the manifold.

B15 are 105 amp.

And they bolt up to B13's? Is this a plug and play install?

not all of them, some are 90 amp.

i had a manifold that put the turbo like that, i couldnt use the ac compressor but fit a 3in downpipe without any problems without moving the alt
