Glad to see more people trying this out. I'm actually doing a pump gas tune one my car just for the hell of it to see if the Nismotronic would handle my 1600cc's. So far it starts, idles and revs perfect but as soon as this 93 runs out a full tank of E85 is going back in.

Idk how you can say you disagree. Its a fact, the more knock limited you are (ie higher cr) the better your gains will be from switching to e85.

How would an SR20DE make more power then an SR20DET on E85? The DET has a Turbo and is more knock limited then the DE.

If were talking about a DE-T Vs DET then everyone knows that the higher compression motor will make more WHP. Thats even true on gasoline. Also my DET isnt 8.5:1.

But back on....I think my spark plug gaps are too high. Maybe E85 needs a smaller gap. I was breaking up earlier today for some reason. Was pegging rich like when the spark blow out. But Im thinking the gap may still be a lil to big. Havent had a chance to look around since everythings still hot. But im guessing thats what it is.

He means a de+t vs a det. Kinda obvious.

From looking at my setup and watching the gas mileage ive been getting out of it. A strait tank of E85 isnt the way to go i dont think.

For my next experiment Im gonna be running probably 5 gallons of 93 and 5 gallons of E85 (Ill put the E85 in a portable gas can just to have more on deck). This should help deal with the big injectors maxing out issue but also still give me the benifits of the E85's cooling. Cause I mean you mess around and take a 200mile trip and your out of E85. Then you gotta fill up with 93 and retune it right quick. I figure itll take less added fuel and when you run out of that tank and dont have anymore e85 around you can just fine tune back to gas.

But driving on strait e85 anywhere other then around town isnt something id wanna do. Our e85 station here closes at like 9 cause its in the hood.

My tune is for straight E85. I don't daily my car so mileage isn't really a big deal for me. Sometimes it's hard to choose between mileage and power.

e85 mileage sucks, ask me i know, granted my tune was prolly far off, but still it was like double digit gas tanks...

stratton.

Yeah I can tell by your trap

Ahston I think I can at least pull 220 out of my tank city driving. Cruisng around I have the a/f's sitting around 15.5:1 then they drop to 12:1 at wot.

Edited first post due to confusion. Most people on this site are running de+t to my knowledge so just pointing out that the benefits would be better. However you are not on 8.5cr anyway I guess. But with higher boost it would be aswell.

What cr you running mr wang wang? And still ony at 7psi?

Na about 12psi out of a 1 bar spring now. Ive got 9.0:1 weisco's for alot of boost from the 18g. But im already getting tired of the t25 and may put this 18g back on sometime. But for now it runs and thats all I care about. Its quick as shit as shit though for only 12lbs and a lil t25. Only thing agrivating is that it falls off up top. Its an interesting setup with e85 though.
