yeah the card i got from my maz studs was 85. this was about a month ago id say.

but yeah, re-torque them and let us know what happens.

its 3 things, gasket did seal, block is warped, leaking past the valves (bad valve job).

New numbers after torque down are within 20% but I don't know what to think. 155-155-120-115. I was at the gauge end this time and the gauge is bumping up the same way for all cylinders so that is telling me that the rings should be seated well. I'll try to find someone with a leakdown tester to see where the leak is coming from. Are these numbers bad I know with a fresh build you want all the same but are these numbers something I can live with? I need to find someone with a leakdown tester to get to the bottom of this. Any thoughts/advice are much appreciated.

Well it could be the seals.

Pulling the head anyways, test the seals ! Pour water in the ports with the head sitting sideways.

I think I'll do a leakdown first just to see if it's coming from the valves. But I think your right sounds like the hg got fubared at least it's a ve and not a $250 cosworth.

My thoughts are this now that you just mentioned. Imma guess seals and this is why. The oem ve gasket takes uo alot of imperfections cause its so soft, even with, the, head warped a lil it should seal 100%. If you were using a vet multilayer gasket this wouldnt be the case.

Imma say seals. But u never know. Obly one way to find out.

The card i got from mazworx has two steps. One step 30 ft lbs and final step 60 ft lbs. Called mazworz and they said the same thing as what the card said. Hope is don't happen to me, haven't had the chance to drive my car yet but it runs and dont leak no fluid.

Id just slam them down a lil more. Dont loosen em up but just tighten them down to 85/90.
