I kinda dig the S4 idle (but the novelty is slowly wearing off unfortunately.............)

The problem with the VE; Tubular manifold and big A/R turbos, and those cost $$$$ ONTOP of what you are shelling out for a DE/cams/T3 turbo . Shoot, even the tubular manifolds for the DE are cheaper than a VE and you can still get away with running a proper (and in most cases cheaper) T3 turbo with good spool characteristics! I swear, a HX turbo, tubular used manifold, S3 cams (cheaper than S4s) and you are still in it for cheaper than a stock VE with N1 cams.........

I LOVE the VE game, but cars are money pits and budget (although I use the term loosely), smart builds are what the DE is all about plus the reliability to boot!

Why would it be any different then a DE+T? Either way it will be about $2k cheaper sticking with the oem RR.

RR siting in the garage = free (Not picky on manifold or turbo)

VE was $800
VET cams $500
VET Tubular manifold $400

So yeah little less then 2k but you get the picture

But you already have those parts, so not necessarily cheaper.

idk man.. I seem to have having a great time with mine. No vet cams, no vet mani and from what I can tell I make more power then you did with that stuff, granted I have a bigger turbo..

As for gas mileage, 29-30mpg mixed driving with some boosting I cant complain lol
