I just hope I don't get as much of headache running a turbo on this vet, we shall see. Hopefully I get this job I applied for and can speed up the process of closing the engine up. I have the essentials just needs work and a couple other parts to finish.

It's fairly decently tuned down low, I don't think I can run too much more timing without causing knock. My VE has had little low comp numbers, so it might be something related to that.

Just run a good free flowing manifold and turbo and most of the VE woes will be away .

/\/\ Well I don't know about good free flowing manifold, I was planning on sticking with the gti-r manny modified for ext gate and my 71r, I want to out grow that turbo before I throw on my schwitzer that is patiently waiting underneath my bed to go on. I just want to see the potential of the 71.

It should be good, just keep in mind that it wont work top notch until you get a free flowing setup or get VET cams.

My 20VE high cams don't start making power until about 6k rpm, VET cams on the other hand started making power at 4,500 rpm.

Sub'd this thread. Boosting my RR soon with a typical w10 set up and jtw ecu. I do wonder if s3r cams are the way to go for boost or its just not nessesary
I hate the 32bit ecu crap. Vadim knows!

edit* which stock cam combination is best for boost?

Found an interesting piece of information about JP's RR.

2-Comp its 9,3 .1 I have messure it manual says 9.5, the head its 1mm bigger then the usdm sr20de high port


That would explain a lot on why his motor survived so long at his PSI's.

what injectors are you roller rocker guys using? arnt vq injectors 370cc and top mounted?
