Nope, I believe they are around 25psi on average.

I made more power with RR than VE. But I also did alot of odd things with RR head to get it to work.

I would hope with regular compression you can squeeze a bit more psi reliably. Only thing is weaker oil pumps and very low redline.

I do have VET cams now, looks like it's better on powerloss but gas mileage is not good enough to justify sticking with VE. Maybe if it improves with VET cams over 20VE I'll stick with it.

What kind of odd things

What about gas mileage which one was better, RR or VE?

Non S3r cams , BC VE springs & retainers, some porting, polish exhaust ports, reshape combustion chamber some... You know the same stuff everybody else does. I never used a rev-limiter because if I did it would throw the rockers off That motor was destroyed the day after I sold the car.

I always got in the mid-20s for mileage.

I would go as far as polishing exhaust and porting cleaning up intake side, but that's probably it. The rev limiter deal concerns me, though on my stock RR (on wife's car) it's been fine hitting the limit.

I'm getting 17-18 city, same semi mixed, and 29 so far highway. Just not good enough .
