Thread: Boosted Roller Rockers

Any reliable boosted Loller Rockers on here? Wondering if anyone had any luck with stock pistons and how the overall reliability is. What kind of power and gas mileage are you guys seeing?

im still getting about 31 mpg but the turbo is still upstairs. lol

i would like to see some rr numbers also

I am roller rocker turbo as well, 71r with a street tune by LikeTheMovies and its awesome, the reliability is sweet for the amount of abuse I give it, I can easily manage 35-36 mpg but have no idea how much power I have or anything like that. Its boosting about 9 lbs because my wastegate is bad. 3" intake and exhaust to keep the flow equally accross hopefully its working. My roller has been boosted for 3 years also first with a t25 kind a wish I still had one. I def love the way it runs I think it could be better but hopefully the ve will be worth the swap. I am trying to setup a dyno appointment just to see how much power it does have. As I am wickedly curious after all the results I have had on the street.

I'm the other way around, tempted to drop the VE business and do an RR. VE is just a lot picker on turbos and manifolds.

rodrigo had a RR boosted for a long time with no issues, I beleave he was using a GTiR t28..

Only concern is RR's are not as good as keeping knock down as VE's are, so having weaker pistons might not be good. Another issue is the bad oil pump

Well didn't somebody say that roller rocker oil pump is similar to ve?

I've never seen a boost RR motor before.

13 psi on the roller rocker is good. What turbo /manifold /Intercooler size are you thinking of running. And yes de's are far less pickier.
