You can get an n62maf for like 40-50 bucks now a days. 300zx or Infiniti J30, I bought 3 of them from a junkyard and paid 40 a piece for them with pigtails and sold them for 60 a piece.
As for blowthrough or draw through.
Ive always ran my turbo setups in blowthrough without issues. Ive used stock DE mafs in blowthrough up till the point they were maxed then switched to n62 maf. Ive done many many turbo setups on friends and customer cars and my own all blowthrough and not one issue. Run open bov all you want with no reprocussion. Pop a chargepipe off (as long as its not between the maf and throttle body) and you can still drive the car home. Overall better response going from drawthrough to blowthrough. As for a/f ratio differences, I really didnt see any. Maybe .1-.2 difference leaner on blowthrough. If your on a basic ecu upping the fuel pressure 1-2psi will take care of that. On a realtime, well just fine tune it. Simple as that.
Youll have your hatas of blowthrough (specificly BenFenner) that will come in and say that the proper way its supposed to be ran is drawthrough and bov recirculated. But pfff, In all my experience with it, blowthrough owns drawthrough in every way. Yes its not the way factory set it up but thats probably because they did it for longevity of the maf but soo far ive yet to kill a maf having it in blowthrough config.

I plan on running stock boost for awhile so i dont see me getting past 250 whp right now. I will be running stock ecu with a safc II piggyback. Stock boost on a rwd sr20det t25 is 7psi I believe?
If I wanna push it past that i will prly find me a n62 maf.
Blow through seems to be the best from what i have been hearing. Pros- can still drive car home if charge pipe blows off and can go open bov which i want to do. Is there any cons? Other than not lasting as long.
