Thread: blow through or draw through

Which would be a better setup for a 01 Sentra SE? Miko says that the 00-01 de maf is good for 325 whp. Is that stock draw through setup? My setup would be a rwd garrett t25, msd 50 lb injectors, and stock maf.

Those mafs suck. I wouldn't even run them draw through.

Draw through is the OEM way of running the maf. Blow through requires you to seal the maf otherwise it will leak. Two benefits of blow through coupler pops off car still runs, second is open BOV.

Well i will be doing a open bov so i should go blow through then?

If you are going atmospheric bov go blow through. The maf placed in between the throttle body and bov.

So it should go like this throttle body---->maf----bov? how far apart do they have to be? When you say either is fine can you do open bov on either setup?

Pretty sure he's saying either is fine, but if you are going open BOV to make sure you do blow through since the metered air isn't sent back through the intercooler piping.

Problem with blow through is that your MAF sees boost which can cause issues. Turbotank on this forum I see makes metal housings to combat this issue.
