Thread: Best place in CT to get turbo rebuilds ?

How u guys doing ? After finishing my long list of upgrades to my g20 i came across my second turbo with bad seals. :X freaking car i haven't been able to drive it and bought it months ago, due to parts going bad.

However, i am looking for a shop to rebuild one of my t25's to slap it back in my car probably within 2 weeks. Anybody has any suggestions? I'm not into buying used turbo's as that's what i just did with this one and now it's leaking, without even beating on it so i would rather have one of my turbo's rebuilt properly instead or get another one, depends on price.

if anything i would look for a t28 and rebuild that, honestly the t25 would be so limited to how much fun you can have, at the end of the day it wont be worth it honestly, just my .02

Agreed^ I wouldn't bother to spend the money on a stock t25 rebuild.

Dont I have to upgrade injectors and the maf n sht to run a t28 safe?

on upgrades u are looking at about 300 give or take for some injectors and a maf, i think the stock maf is good for about 300hp some one chime in with exact numbers but injectors are always a good choice when turboing a car anyways, i would atleast run 370s and those go for a 100-200 dollars a set.

Buy a kit on Ebay and rebuild the turbo yourself for about $70. I just did a T28 a couple weekends ago and it was a piece of cake!

And I heard t28 are slightly harder also if u mess up then it wont kill ur pocket. I think I seen a write up on one on zilvia.net. check it out. It didn't look too difficult
