Thread: Will open wg dump affect afr accuracy?

so im asking because i picked up a manifold and it needs to have a wg attached to it and im not sure if i want to plumb it back in or not. It seems like it would as its dumping some of the exhaust before the sensor downstream... Are there any advantages to running open?

Most people with external gates run them open. It should not really affect a/f ratio readings much at all. Not enough to matter.

Dont be too concerned about merging the wastegate dump back into the downpipe.
