Injector Options
I've always been a side feed type of fellow. For my power goals, I don't see myself using nothing more or less than the 740cc injectors. However, the price for those side feeds makes me cringe.

So that leads me to this... switching to a top feed setup might prove to be a little more cost effective. So...is anyone of you fine fellows running ID1000s? Which top feed fuel rail are you using? Does it fit with the N1 manifold?

I ran ID1000's with my DE head and used an ebay fuel rail kit. Came with the new seat adapters and cusions and was actually a really nice setup.

Good thing about the ID1000's is you can run really high base fuel pressures and up to 150psi total pressure and not have problems. Again as long as your pump/pumps can handle it.

Yeah the price of sidefeeds is rediculous. I used Venom 720's on my 60 trim t3 setup 3 bar and didnt have any issues at all and made great power and never had issues. 220 bucks for the set and they were cleaned and flow tested before I got them. Never an issue and the person I sold them to hasnt had any issues. So you could look into those instead of the nismo injectors if you want to stick with sidefeed.

As far as VE rails go though, I believe greg sells a topfeed VE fuel rail kit so I would go that route. I think JWT might have a VE fuel rail kit as well but not positive on that.

I love the ID injectors. Great injector and basicly bulletproof. Best quality injector on the market hands down. Im now running ID2000's on my current setup and if you want to cringe at price, I got them for 830 bucks brand new for the set of 4 and anodized black tophats. New from a seller, 875 from one of the guys that helped design and make parts for them (btw which if you decide to run them I can hook you up with his contact info and gurantee you wont find a better price) any other dealer they are 920 bucks for the set.

ID1000's are much cheaper than the 2000's though. Has to do with the cost of the bosch housings they use.

ID2000 is overkill for my goals. I'll only use 30%-35% of that injector. ID1000s are better suited for my goals.

The real question I'm looking to get answered is if the ID1000 injectors with the top feed rail work with the N1 manifold.

Yeah I dont see why not, There is plenty of space for a topfeed rail on both the ve and n1 manifolds.

Yeah ID1000's would be your best bet and at least they are relatively affordable.

I know ive seen some 880 side feeds but they are some off brand and i dont know how well I would trust those.

That's a negative. Top feed rail hits the idle control on the VE manifold.

ask rob about running top feeds on a ve he will give you a solution that is very easy to do

I make an aluminum spacer for the idle control valve and that it.

Look at the pics of Robs motor. Doesnt look like this topfeed rail is hitting anything on the ve idle air control, no spacer either. Looks like it comes close to the air tube of the idle air control but looks like it clears just fine.

Cant tell which rail he was using. Maybe he could chime in on it.

Manny and I have spoken about what we did on my rail/manifold. It is factual that the rail will hit the AICV. I took some advice from kevwal who did the same thing I did.

We added a set of Outlaw intake manifold spacers in order to create more room. We also drilled out the injector ports very little in order for the injector to go into the manifold more. Very simple from what Lance explained to me.

As for what rail I am using it is a AMS kit made for the KA24. All Lance did was fabricate some new mounting brackets in order to make it work.
