As far as idle vs temp is concerned, no matter what I set the idle to there is no affect. I can set it to zero for all temps with no change and or 7,000 with the same result.

You don't want unmetered air in the system (aside from the PVC system if you have it set up right, ie no hoses to the intake manifold). Any air the various do-dads on the intake manifold see should be metered, not before the MAF

Your idle air hose is in the right place. Morgans is just getting his "before" and "after" MAF terminology confused.

Sorta off topic...boost signal to wastegate: before or after throttle plate? Or it doesn't matter? Before correct?

don't let the wastgate see vacume.....only boost
