Just take it to the dyno and stop guessing,then you willbe able to see whats the best point.

Just tried the exhaust can constantly on idea.....FAIL. lol...dont even waste your time. I'm not necessarily trying to guess switch points....just testing somethings and different ideas out for now cause gio will have his hands on this shortly. I mainly wanteded to put Jwt words to the test and that was a win per my previous post. My first vvl head setup so I just wanted to tinker with some ideas and such cause I'm a first hand learner type of guy. But now since uve done all my quick and easy tests I'm not doing a thing else until I get a boost controller and see my man gio

Try switching exhaust on SR16 cams early and you will notice a quicker buildup of boost, but on any of the 2.0 cams I have tried it loses a lot of power. I guess the cam timing of the 1.6 cams just suits better to an earlier opening sequence than the 2.0L variants.

Still, it is fun to experiment and see how you can shape the power delivery.
