supporting a topmount manifold
I've got a topmount lovefab manifold that I recently acquired and was looking for some input on properly supporting it. After scouring the turbo setup thread, I can't really seem to find any good pictures or anything too conclusive. I was thinking about running a couple brackets from the flange at the collector to a couple studs that attach the main flange to the head. That way I could cinch them down with nuts and they wouldn't be permanent, as opposed to welding it to the engine (got a buddy that did that on his Honda and that seems kinda ridiculous to me). Anyone got anything to add? It's a pretty robust looking piece, but after putting the turbo, WG, downpipe, and associated piping on, I'm a little worried about longevity.

which manifold do you have? Is it a sidewinder or just a el top mount manifold. I usually do not see any of the manifolds made by lovefab with supports on them. I also cannot recall anyone who has had a issue with them cracking.

If they use at least sch10 piping it shouldn't need any support. It's the ebay manifolds that are the same thickness as your exhaust that you need to worry about.

It's an EL manifold, and I'm honestly not sure about the schedule of the tubing, Vadim. It would seem, after doing a little more looking around, that you guys are correct and I shouldn't really need to support it. This definitely saves me some trouble/time on my build. Thanks for the input, guys.
