This is what the DET does with a GT2871R
SR20DET, S4 cams, 3inch DP, 3 inch exhaust with GT2871R makes 400-420 WHP at 20 PSI.
The SR20VET will be about 30-40 WHP more efficent. at 20 PSI
Why are 740cc injectors cheaper with the VET setup ($400) versus the VE+T setup ($600)?
hahaha
SR20VE = $1,000
N1 Manifold & TB = $0 (already have it - I bought it from you 6 years ago)
Nismo/Tomei 740cc = $600
Tial 44mm = $350
Aftermarket Rods/Pistons (9.5:1 comp) = $900
Bearings = $180
Protech EQL = $600-$900
Precision 5857 = $900
headgasket and rebuild parts = $0 (already have it)
Headstuds = $0 (already have it)
Pay someone to build it: $100 (beer, food, & good times with friends)
Total = $4,630-$4,930
This brings it on par or close to a VET motor. That is not to mention that I am not interested in reusing the VET manifold - I'd still be interested in going with a Pro-Tech, so that ups the price on the VET over the build.
Dre, you're my boy, but it is one thing to piece meal a setup together over time versus coughing up a lump sum of cash for a $3,500.
So you prefer the 2871R over the 3071R?
