damn that sucks dude. But on the bright side, your lucky that the screw didnt blow the welds on the intake. Or was that me?

if the previous owner finds out why it had such low compression they'll think they got "screwed"! LOL

Lol, enough screwing around... The head is at the machine shop. They quoted us about $160-180 to replace the two valves, possibly replace the valve seat. Clean, inspect, and pressure leak test the valves. They asked what boost level it will see and they will make sure the valves seal at that pressure. Mill the head for a fresh flat surface. And the are gonna do the rocker arm dual slotted shim mod.

Man thats awesome, so the question is what happen first the screw or burned valve.....LOL. Looks like you got a great deal here.

That's a good question. Not sure which happened first but either way it was having a bad day lol. We got a really good deal on the motor and also got a used DE with it. Even after fixing it we will be way under the cost of a used imported DET and it will have a fresh valve job, head gasket, and the rocker arm shim mod.

Honestly, we're Nissan guys. We are cheap and don't mind doing a little extra work. I think most people on here will agree with me.
