hi guys names james from new Zealand
sorry if this is in the wrong topic but couldn't find the right one.
i have been putting a s14 sr20de+t into my ute it all goes but not the besgt. at the moment it has t3/t4 turbo external gate, Fuel pressure reg, standard afm, standard injectors and standard ecu. my questions are
should i need a tune if im going to run it like this?
what injectors should i upgrade to with same plugs?
do i need to upgrade afm?
can i get my standard ecu chipped?
and also does anyone know if there are wires for a cold start as its been an engine converion dont think its been hooked up as it takes ages to start when cold?

James you absolutely need to do something about the tune because you've put a turbocharger on what used to be an N/A engine.

Also they are called MAFs (Mass Air Flow) sensors. We do not have an ARM (Air Flow Meter) on these engines. If you upgrade this, you will certainly need to figure out a tuning solution for it.

There is a cold start idle valve you may be missing. Check out this thread for that info: http://www.sr20-forum.com/information-library/50162-ins-outs-stock-idle-control-system.html

You could use the ECU, injectors, MAF, and whatnot from a stock RWD SR20DET engine and have it run fine if you put the stock DET turbo setup on there. Is that an option?
