Sure you can get bad batches or production runs can be poorly controlled but every few years I see threads about this or that clutch.
About 5-6 years ago it was spec clutches that all the fwd SR20 guys were shitting on. ACT seems to be taking their turn now.
I know my JGY clutch is total crap but I didn't choose or install it.

never had an issue with act, my pressure plate was used and the disk i bought new 5 years ago, still in mint condition, i always resurfaced teh flywheel, always make sure the tob was greesed and installed properly and that everything was in working order always use the dowel pins and the spacer, VERY important
ive had it since i was at 300hp, and now god knows how much i am making but its alot more than 300 and its holding up great. above 25 26psi on sticky tires it will slip a bit but i think thats just me exceeding the torque capacity of the pressure plate
